Compost Consulting & Waste Diversion Systems
In 1998, as an environmental engineering and consulting firm specializing in waste management, we recognized municipalities’ need for organic waste processing capacity and developed our own composting facility. The composting system developed and piloted in 1998 was so successful and so clearly able to effectively address the consumer demand for organic waste management, that we brought the facility to full deployment and formed Cleanit Greenit Composting System Inc. (CG). The CG facility has been operating since 1998 and is continuing to please its municipal customers and other long-term contract holders, who can rely on its well managed, reasonably priced waste recycling service.
Organics Capacity for Municipalities
Advanced Enviro can duplicate the currently operating CG facility and technology in its entirety at another location in Alberta to provide municipalities’ with organic processing capacity of 10,000 to 40,000 tonnes/year.
Carbon Credit Offsets
Municipal composting facilities generate carbon credit offsets under the Alberta Offset Registry. Advanced Enviro can assist your municipality to generate revenue from its composting facility to put back into the solid waste management system.
AE has helped several compost facilities sell their carbon off sets.
Municipal Curbside Organics
The material that CG processes includes:
Organic wastes from municipal curbside collection programs (Strathcona County, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain)
Municipal biosolids (Town of Devon)
Restaurants including Dairy Queen, Kentucky Fried Chicken, McDonald’s and Kelsey’s
Food and drink processors including Saputo, Cheemo etc.
Organics including those from Edmonton Public Schools and City Police Headquarters.
"The City of Spruce Grove has been able to reduce its waste to landfill by approximately 35% since implementing an Organics Collection program. This strategy has been very effective for Spruce Grove and we are proud of our achievements".
