Integrated Waste Management
Advanced Enviro’s leading edge expertise in diversion systems ensures that clients (cities, municipalities, communities, instituition etc.) will receive a blue print to implement waste management options both in the short run and into the future that are cost effective, publically supported and produce real and significant diversion rates.
Unique to Advanced Enviro is its incorporation of zero waste practicality which examines all discarded resources as potential revenue. This means that Advanced Enviro will identify as many revenue generating opportunities as possible for the client that at the same time increase diversion and help the environment. Often, if the Advanced Enviro plan is followed, costs in the 5 year future remain at status quo with diversion increasing to 80%+. We have developed specific tools to achieve this.
Advanced Enviro brings more than 25 years of experience in both the design and the delivery of comprehensive waste management programs for municipalities throughout Alberta including Leduc, Beaumont, Lloydminster, Camrose, Spruce Grove and Strathcona County. These municipalities are moving towards diversion rates of up to 80%.
IWM considers the full range of waste streams to be managed (garbage, recyclables, organics, household hazardous waste, etc.) and views the available waste management practices as a menu of options from which waste managers can select the preferred option, based on community-specific environmental, economic and social considerations.
Advanced Enviro’s proven IWM methodology involves the following project components:
Review of current waste management system, including current diversion rates and estimated waste streams
Waste sort/audit to provide benchmark data
Waste management survey to measure public support and willingness to participate in identified options
Carts system implementation and collection evaluation
Recommendations and forecasting towards system modification and a Five Year Plan
Often, if the Advanced Enviro plan is followed, costs in the 5 year future remain at status quo with diversion increasing to 80%+. We have developed specific tools to achieve this.
